Name The Price for VirtueMart

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Plugin development ceased, all plugins made available freely (GPL)

With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.

It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

Hi,

Thank you for a great plugin!
However i will not get it to work as it should.
Everything is ok and I can add donation from product view and the price will change accordingly.
But when I press Add to Cart and get redirected to the Cart the total price is whitout donation.

Ex.
The price for the product is set to 1.
The donation is typed in to 100 and the the total price will be updated to 101 in product view.
When pressing Add to Card and get redirected to the cart summary the price is still 1 not 101 as expected.

I use Joomla 3.4.1 and VM 3.0.6.2

Hello,
I'm unable to reproduce the issue. I'm using the latest version of the plugin (1.2) together with Joomla 3.4 and VM 3.0.8.
Are you using the default VirtueMart checkout system, or do you have some kind of One Page Checkout (rupostel.com or cmsmart and the like) installed?

It might also help to see the configuration of your donations custom field. VM3 in particular is very picky about correct settings for cart variant, cart input and similar settings.

Best regards,
Reinhold

I am getting the exact same issue.

The product page updates the price, but when it adds to the cart it just says $0.00.

I'm using the latest plugin with VM3.0.9 and Joomla 3.4

I can give you access to the site if you would like to see.

Wait, nevermind.

I forgot to change "Cart Input" to YES.

Sorry to have bothered you, hope this helps someone else.

Thanks,

Martin

Greetings Reinhold :)

Simply splendid plugin. Many thanks!

Unfortunately, however, when we upgraded to Virtuemart 3.0.12 our donations button no longer allows us to enter amounts.

Our Joomla was version was 2.5.28 and is now 3.4.5 -- I did this upgrade after the problem was identified in hopes it would correct. Alas, no :(

We were using Version 1.1 of your wonderful plugin and that is now Version 1.4

Dev link is here: thechristians.com/bookdev/index.php/shop/donation

Any suggestions would be most helpful, Reinhold.

Vince

p.s. Debug shows the following error: Uncaught ReferenceError: Virtuemart is not defined / donation-detail:45

p.p.s. I'm also using the jQuery Easy plugin which, when turned off, changes the error to "Uncaught TypeError: jQuery(...).on is not a function" / donation-detail: 48

Dear Vince,
The debug message indicates that the VirtueMart Javascript code is not correctly loaded. That js is needed because it handles sending the amount to the server and updating the product page correspondingly. The plugin does not implement this itself, but relies on VM's provided JS.

Best regards,
Reinhold
