Shipping By Rules for WooCommerce

We are currently unable to provide proper support!

For the last few months we have been very busy working on some huge, very time-consuming and time-sensitive projects, so our support was very limited and we were unable to provide proper support in our forums! We now have a huge backlog of requests from our customers, which we are trying to clear bit by bit. Unfortunately, this takes longer than we anticipated, so our response time is not yet up to par. We are trying our best to improve this situation as soon as possible.

Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding!

The way I had my shipping rules set up it would return NoShipping if less than 3 items were in the cart. This then resulted in woocommerce giving their No Shipping Method Available error message, which I had code to change to "3 items or more required for delivery".
But now the shipping field is just blank, the customer has no idea why there is no shipping available.
I realise I can enter an error in the shipping rules, but this puts an error at the top of the page which isn't always visible, I preferred having the information in the actual shipping field.
Was there something in the latest release that caused this? Is there a way around it please?

Thanks
Scott

Dear fosteris,
As far as I can see, there was no particular change in our latest releases that would cause a significant change.

Our plugin does not actually mess with how WooCommerce handles shipping rates and how they are displayed. WooCommercy simply queries all shipping plugins through a dedicated function of the shipping method class. If a plugin returns a shipping rate, it will be offered, if the plugin does not offer a rate, it will not be offered. The decision how to display the available shipping rates (and how to display the case when no rates are available) is completely up to WooCommerce and to the template that you use. So, I would guess that there was either a change in WooCommerce itself, or another third-party plugin tries to mess with those parts of WooCommerce.

Best regards,
Reinhold
