Can't Reactivate Plugin after site crash 28 May 2017 23:24 #1

With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.
It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

My Woocommerce site crashed and I had to have all plugins deactivated to get in. I'm trying re-install everything and so far so good until I got to WooCommerce Shipping By Rules. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thank you!
I had this error message: Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error. Followed by this: Warning: require_once(/home2/squeezie72/public_html/wp-content/plugins/shipping-by-rules-for-woocommerce/legacy-woocommerce-shipping-by-rules.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home2/squeezie72/public_html/wp-content/plugins/shipping-by-rules-for-woocommerce/woocommerce-shipping-by-rules.php on line 299 Fatal error: require_once(): Failed opening required '/home2/squeezie72/public_html/wp-content/plugins/shipping-by-rules-for-woocommerce/legacy-woocommerce-shipping-by-rules.php' (include_path='.:/opt/php56/lib/php') in /home2/squeezie72/public_html/wp-content/plugins/shipping-by-rules-for-woocommerce/woocommerce-shipping-by-rules.php on line 299 |

Dear Squeezie72,
Sorry for the problems, a few days ago we released a fixed version of the plugin (should be available for auto-update from the wordpress plugin directory) that fixes the missing file error. Does the problem still appear after an update? Best regards, Reinhold |
