Since the upgrade to VM2.0.24b the order numbering spontaneously changed. We use the # for order numbers only, since the upgrade the date is automatically appended.

Hello there, I have found out that if I append any other tag or text next to the #, the date is not automatically appended by error anymore. Only I do want to append anything to the basic order number :).

Virtuemart appends the date to any identifier if an object with the same identifier already exists (e.g. try to create a product with an already existing slug).

To be honest, for now I don't have any idea what might cause your problems. It works fine for me on my testing site. Do you have any old testing orders around?

Thanks for the reply! The order numbers were indeed doubling up, which is why the date was appended, so my issue is fixed. Why they started to double up I'm not sure.. I can not remember re-adjusting it. Might it happen again I'll be in touch.
