Shipping by Rules for VirtueMart

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT: Plugin development ceased, all plugins made available freely (GPL)

With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.

It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

Hi there
I would like to apply the rule by inward code for example All BH4 8A* will be charged £2 for shipping, no matter the last letter of the postcode is.
Here is my code :

Name="£2 Delivery charge"; UK_Outward=="BH4" AND UK_Inward=="8A","8B","8D","8W","8X","8Y","9D","9N","9Y","9Z"."0"; Shipping=2.00
Name="£2 Delivery charge"; UK_Outward=="BH3" AND UK_Inward=="7D","7E","7H"; Shipping=2.00
Name="£2 Delivery charge"; UK_Outward=="BH9" AND UK_Inward=="1A","1F","2H"; Shipping=2.00
Name="£2 Delivery charge"; UK_Outward=="BH10" AND UK_Inward=="4A","4D","4F","4H","4J"; Shipping=2.00
Name="£2 Delivery charge"; UK_Outward=="BH12" AND UK_Inward=="4N","4P","4Q","4T"; Shipping=2.00
Name="£2 Delivery charge"; UK_Outward=="BH13" AND UK_Inward=="1A","1B","1D","1G","1H","1J","1L","1N","1P","1Q","1Z","2A","2B","2E","2W","2X","2Y","2Z","3A","3B","3D","3E","3F","3H","3J","3L","3Q","3R","3S","3T","3Y","3Z"; Shipping=2.00
Name="£2 Delivery charge"; UK_Outward=="BH17" AND UK_Inward=="7Z"; Shipping=2.00
Name="£2 Delivery charge"; UK_Outward=="BH15" AND UK_Inward=="7Q","7R","7W","7X","7Z"; Shipping=2.00

it caused Error during parsing expression error when saved which I think it was something to do with the inward bit.

Please help.
Thanks

Basically, there is currently no easy way. You'll have to explicitly check UK_Inward~"8A" for each of the values.

Hi
Thanks for the reply.

Also, If i would like all other shipping to charge £1.00 as there is no free shipping. Can I put :

Name=£1 Delivery charge within 2 mile radius; Articles<100; Shipping=1.00

Thanks

Exactly, if you put that as the last rule in the list, then all carts that do not match any of the other rules before it will get the £1.00 shipping.
