With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.
It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

Hi!
Thanks for your great plugin VM Advanced Shipping by Rules. After updating to VM3.0.12 I get the following errors: Strict Standards: Declaration of plgVmShipmentRules_Shipping_Base::setCartPrices() should be compatible with vmPSPlugin::setCartPrices(VirtueMartCart $cart, &$cart_prices, $method, $progressive = true) in D:\Storage\Web\Joomla3\qliving_new.com\plugins\vmshipment\rules_shipping_advanced\rules_shipping_base.php on line 756 Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cookie - headers already sent by (output started at D:\Storage\Web\Joomla3\qliving_new.com\plugins\vmshipment\rules_shipping_advanced\rules_shipping_base.php:756) in D:\Storage\Web\Joomla3\qliving_new.com\components\com_virtuemart\helpers\cart.php on line 375 Warning: session_start(): Cannot send session cache limiter - headers already sent (output started at D:\Storage\Web\Joomla3\qliving_new.com\plugins\vmshipment\rules_shipping_advanced\rules_shipping_base.php:756) in D:\Storage\Web\Joomla3\qliving_new.com\components\com_virtuemart\helpers\cart.php on line 375 Can you comment on if this is something you will adress in a newer version ? cheers, |

Dear Webkonsulenter.dk,
Which version of the plugin do you have installed? In particular, do you have the latest version 5.7 installed? AFAICS, the later versions (since 5.0 or so) of the plugin have correctly updated the function signature to the changed VM function signature. If you have both the free and the advanced versions of the plugin installed, please make sure to update both to the latest version. Sometimes, Joomla/Virtuemart load the wrong (outdated) base file even for the updated version, which can then produce such errors. Best regards, Reinhold |

Problem solved.
