MaxHeight, MaxLength, MaxWidth Values No Shipping 11 Oct 2016 00:48 #1

With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.
It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

Hello,
I've been trying to set the Maximum width, height and length to correspond with sizes of products in virtuemart. When entering just the weight and shipping value like Name=UK100; 1<=Weight<100; Shipping=1.05 all works fine. However the moment I add MaxHeight, MaxLength, MaxWidth I get a message returning no suitable shipping. The products are set in cm and grammes in virtuemart 3. For example I tried to add one specific product a set of wine glasses with the following specifications set in virtuemart back end. Product length 14cm, Product width 8cm, Product height 8.5cm however no suitable value returned despite me having the following rule for example. Name=UK1000; 751<=Weight<2000; MaxHeight<16; MaxLength<45; MaxWidth<35; Shipping=3.15 Can you tell me what I have done wrong? Do I need to purchase the advanced plugin to do what I want? Many thanks for your time it is appreciated and valued. Kind regards, Phil |

Dear Phil,
At first glance, that rule looks okay. One possible cause might be different Units (the products and the shipping method both have a Setting for Units!). Can you please temporarily add a debug shipping method that simply prints out the values of all variables? See open-tools.net/documentation/shipping-by...emart.html#debugging That should print out the values of the Weight, MaxHeight, MaxLength and MaxWidth variables, so you can check whether their Units are correct or off by 10 / 100 / 1000. If they are off, then apparently the meter/cm/mm Setting of the shipping method should be adjusted. Best regards, Reinhold |
