With great sadness we have to announce that we are ceasing development of all our VirtueMart, WooCommerce and Joomla plugins. Effective immediately, all our plugins -- even those that were paid downloads -- are made available for free from our homepage (GPL license still applies), but we cannot and will not provide any support anymore.
It has been a great pleasure to be part of the thriving development communities of VirtueMart as well as WooCommerce. However, during the last year it became painstakingly clear that in addition to a full-time job, a young family and several other time-consuming hobbies at professional level (like being a professional singer) the plugin development and the support that it requires is not sustainable and is taking its toll. It has been an honor, but it is now time to say good bye!

I'm using the advanced module for UK Postcodes. It's an excellent plugin so long as customers remember to include the space in the middle of their postcode.
I need to offer free delivery for UK Outward codes BS39 and BS40. This is easy to set up, but my last customer entered his postcode as "BS406NL" rather than "BS40 6NL"(i.e. with no space) and it seems to confuse the system. I have tried using the ~ operator to check for an exact match at the beginning of the string, but that doesn't seem to work. At the moment the customer is being overcharged so I would be really pleased to hear if there's an easy solution. It's a customer mistake that's bound to happen from time to time. |

You are right, currenly the plugin only detects UK postal codes if at least one space is present. I've now uploaded version 2.4.3 of the advanced shipping by rules plugin to allow no space, too.

Just tested and the upgraded version works with or without space. Thank you very much for such a speedy fix. Very impressed overall with your plugin - it's a joy to use.
